Testimonials
RE: Stephen Jacobsen
S. P. & C. Home Improvement, Inc.
Hampton Bays, NY 11946
To Whom It May Concern:
This letter of reference is written on behalf of the above named contractor, who completed work for our Domestic Violence Shelter recently. We were thrilled to receive their assistance, and so pleased with the professionalism with which we were treated.
Mr. Jacobsen provided 4 full days of work for us, sending out three hard-working men to provide us with spackling, painting and repairs to our facility. This was all completed for us free of charge and unsolicited. Mr. Jacobsen’s employees came to us as volunteers, and provided us with all materials.
The workmanship was meticulous, as was the clean up. The men were friendly and respectful while working quickly and efficiently. Their work has made a difference in our emergency shelter.
Our experience with Mr. Jacobsen’s company was very positive, and I would recommend their services based on their recent work for us.
Sincerely,
Laurie A. Roughan, LMSW
Shelter Director

We secured several bids for an extensive interior renovation. We were most impressed with Steve’s ability to translate our needs into an actionable plan. We were also quite pleased with the competitiveness of his bid. In the end, it’s all about the quality of the work. I must say, we’ve never been happier. The meticulous attention to detail and the fine craftsmanship is well above what we’ve experienced with others.

Steve and his crew were at my house for close to two months, and they never missed a day. I would not hesitate to have Steve to any work that I do in the future.

My wife and I had spent over a year trying to decide upon the scope of our project, and the right contractor for the job, before we met Steve of S.P.&C. From the first scheduled consultation to the last follow up on the punch list, Steve's crew kept every appointment and returned all calls. Steve and his crew were professional and pleasant throughout the entire project, not to mention the quality of work. Framing, dry wall, painting and finish carpentry were all first quality, as well as coordination with the subs. I guess the best testament to the experience is that we came in on time and on budget, and were completely satisfied.

In the past two years I have had several occasions to use S.P. & C.Home Improvement to do renovations on my home on Peconic Bay. They are thoroughly professional, attentive to details, and highly qualified in many areas. More importantly, they come when they say they will come, call when they say they will call, and leave the job site in spotless condition.

When I bought my house in Hampton Bays, I had no connections with local contractors or craftsmen. The existing deck was an eyesore that needed replacement, and I got the idea to try SP&C Home Improvement from a recommendation on the TimberTech website. After the initial meeting with Steve I just had the feeling that I wouldn't have to worry about how this job would go. The crew that did the job were informative, polite and efficient, and the result was even better than I had envisioned. Six months later I still walk out on the deck and admire how well-made and what a perfect addition to the house it is. No, this wasn't the cheapest option available, but if you want professionalism, pleasing results and added value to your home, I suggest calling on SP&C for your home upgrades.
Regards,
John - Hampton Bays, NY

We want to let you know how pleased we are with the renovation work you did at our home. The best part was that we did not have to be concerned or handle anything. Everything came out exactly as planned and within the original budget. Working with you was a pleasure and hassle-free. We would enthusiastically recommend you and your company.

I had the good fortune to meet Steve and his team several years ago. In that time Steve has done a number of painting and construction jobs at my home. I can happily recommend Steve as a contractor who is responsive to his clients' needs, reliably returns calls, is excellent at follow-through, meets deadlines and consistently delivers a very high level of quality in his work. Not much more I could ask for.

My basement renovation was executed by S.P.&C. exactly as it had been planned. Steve's team was punctual, highly professional and had a high degree of attention to detail. The site was always organized and cleaned up at the end of every day. The project was competed on time and on budget, which is perhaps the greatest testimony I can give; apart from mentioning that the competed renovation has greatly increased the value of my home. I would recommend S.P.&C. to anyone for any project.
